Our house

This is the side view. This is just the first story. When it is complete it will be 4000 sq feet. So pretty much 4 times bigger than any other house we have ever owned. Four kids will fit in there nicely.

Our house

Look at our new house. We are so excited!!! This is the back of the house. The hole is where the sliding glass door will go and the kitchen is behind that door.

Hawaii here we come........not!

This is me and Gaylene playing the waiting game. She was flying out to Utah the same day we were and the plane to Hawaii was delayed 8 and a half hours. That was a nightmare.

1st Day

Josh was obsessed with the coconuts. So we had to get a picture.

Polynesian Cultural Center

O.K. so I a ton of pictures of the PCC. I loved that place. We were able to go on a guided tour (thank you Monte and Kristi for the hook-up) It was an amazing place and I highly recommend it.

Polynesian Cultural Center

Josh was crowned chief of our tour group by our tour guide. He was from Fiji. He was awesome. He would tell us about all of the different cultures then he would say, "Everybody say WOW!" It was funny.

Aloha Swapmeet

O.K. this was my favorite part of the trip....shopping. It was the ultimate in bargain hunting. I loved it. I don't think Josh was as excited about it, but he was a great sport.

Snorkeling

Josh and I went snorkeling and really enjoyed it. The waters in Hawaii are so clear.

Dinner at the Shore Bird

Janette Lively recommended this awesome place to eat. They bring you your meat raw and you cook it at a huge grill yourself. It was a lot of fun. The restaurant was right on Waikiki beach.

Dinner at the Shore Bird

Me stealing a kiss.....

Scuba Diving

As many of you know, Josh is a certified scuba diver. His dream is to be able to discover the wide open sea's with me. But I am afraid of water and a little bit claustrophobic. I knew that I needed to be brave and try it, but we found that after a few panic stricken tries, that it was not for me.....for now, says Josh.

Scuba Diving

That is a fake smile.

Scuba Diving

This is the instructor trying to calm me down. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful.

The temple.

The amazing fact is that this temple was the fifth temple ever built.

Oh we're going........

to the Hukilau.....

Hukilau Beach

A strole on Hukilau beach.

Chinaman's Hat

Josh and I did this a lot.

A little hike

This was a tree that had fallen over a trail.

Tantalus Drive

That is Josh in a massive banyan tree. It had grown on a cliff. The view was amazing.
I loved taking pictures of the amazing flowers. The smell in the air was captivating. There are so many flowers on Oahu that the air smells like a floral shop.

Manoa Falls

The landscape here was amazing. I could not take enough pictures. This picture really does not do the waterfall justice.

Last night

This is us having Dinner at Benihana. I love that place. It was fun!! and a great way to end a great week.

A little random

Here are some pictures that are a little out of order as far as date but they are good ones of the kids.

Our little kitty.

Lilly loves the camera. Can you tell? She was a kitty for Halloween. This was Melodie's costume when she was one. It brought back memories.

We have only just begun.........

This is the "foot print" of our house. The boys were out helping the contractors lay down tarps before the storm came so that the ground didn't get saturated. We should be starting on Jan 7 but.........another storm is supposed to come in. So we shall see.

Avery the red-nosed reindeer?

For one of my music classes I taught the kids rudolph with some funny costumes. This is Avery in all his glory.

My life right now

For many of you that don't know, I have decided to go back to school and get my teaching credential. So on top of being a mom of four and teaching music at the elementary school and assisting in the choir program and callings and well you know ......a mothers life, I am taking this on. I am excited and I really think that this is what I am meant to do.

Also I was inspired to start a website recently. I apply for all scholarships when I can, and one of them required me to start a website. It is nothing special but I am proud of it. http://mothers.to.be.googlepages.com I thought it would be a great way to network moms to be and share information about pregnancy and mothering.

Just as a side note, because I am sooo excited, next week Josh and I are going to HAWAII!!!! one whole week. Thanks to Aunt Jill and Grandma Rula who are coming to Cali to watch my kids.

Food, food and more food!!

This is where we spent most of our time.....eating.

Avery Boxing

Hey, it's a good way to let him get his boy craziness out.

The Triplets

Our girls, Delayne, Melodie and Brooke. Gaylene, Sanna and I did not plan this in any way. But they are sure cute.

Happy New Years!!

Well the Hansen's had a wonderful New years celebration at our house this past week. It was a blast. Luckily Santa brought our kids a Wii for all of the cousins to play with. Well and the adults too. So here are some pics from the week.
